Introducing the new CBB Racing drag car...
CBB Racing is proud to unveil the new CBB Racing 1960 Karmann Ghia Drag Car.

Featuring a 2830cc Autocraft engine with twin Autorotor screw superchargers and a shot of nitrous oxide the Karmann Ghia takes CBB Racing to a new professional level.
Following on from the long and sucessful campaigning of the 1956 Beetle Cranky One, the Ghia is the result of thousands of hours of build, development and preparation. A full chromoly tube chassis provides the underpinnings for the finely detailed metal and composite body. The engine is mated to a Mendeola 4 speed transaxle with a vertical gate shifter. The methanol is mechanically injected using a Hilborn system, lubrication utilisies a 2 stage dry sump oil pump. Atop the Swedish made Autorotor blowers is a polished alloy shotgun scoop. An MSD 7AL provides the spark and a Motech datalogger lets the crew analyse each pass.
The car should turn a wheel on track before the end of 2008 with several tests and shakedowns planned before letting it loose on the quarter mile in earnest. The anticipation is tantalising.
CBB racing would like to acknowledge the assistance of all those who support the team:
Pirtek Penrith, for sponsorship and fittings
